About

I am extremely invested in the improvement and success of my students. I take into account individual learning styles and incorporate them into my sessions, this ensures that students are enjoying their time while simultaneously growing as readers and writers. I am a fighting spirit and will do my best to help clients. If someone is struggling profoundly but is willing to improve, I will do my part to guarantee that they will better their abilities.

I love watching my students improve and grow confident in their abilities, but above all, I love observing my students as they slowly begin to appreciate and genuinely enjoy English. It's the best part of my job.

    Frequently asked questions

I try to first find out the learning style of a student. Are they visual or auditory learnings? Maybe they prefer kinetic learning. I then try to understand where and why they struggle. With an end goal in mind, we get to working! I try to choose a pace that comfortable for but still mildly challenges the student so that they may be involved in the learning process. Positive reinforcement is equipped with stickers and coloring sheets students can take home after sessions.

During high school, I was placed in many AP (Advanced Placement) English classes. I am currently enrolled in college and taking some English courses, specifically English 101 and English 102. I tutor some of my peers and frequently review their essays. I have tutored the children of family friends before and enjoy watching individuals flourish and improve.

I have mostly only tutored friends, family friends, and peers, but my teachers and professors feel I have a natural ability to educate others and my long-term goal is to someday become a full-time educator.

I am bilingual and have worked with many Spanish speaking students. Language barriers have not prevented me from helping individuals improve their speaking, spelling, and grammar abilities. I have worked with individuals who are not especially passionate about English, but who, through assistance and perseverance have grown to have some respect and interest in the study.

I have been recently asked to direct my school's production of The Adam's Family musical. I am very excited to put together this show. I hope my peers and I can create something spectacularly fun together.

I would advise students to seek out a tutor who meets their personal, educational needs. Look for someone who will not only hand you the tools to improve, but someone who may inspire a greater appreciation for whatever it is you are studying.
