I have over 10 years teaching experience. My experience ranges from K-12 English and Language Arts and K-8 Mathematics. I am in the process of getting my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), so if a student is struggling with English because if a language barrier, I am also able to help those students as well. In addition, I have taught in 3 different Special Education classrooms which included students on the Autism Spectrum. I have also taught various English (ESL) and GED courses at the Community College of Southern Nevada.
As a professional tutor, I enjoy the freedom of being able to teach and instruct without the bureaucracy and red tape of curriculum discussion and scheduling. My clients win because they have a capable teacher/tutor, and I win because I have more autonomy over how I do what I do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have an abundance of English Language Arts, English Language Learners and Math curriculum that I can bring to assess new students. However, I realize that most students need more immediate help. They need a tutor who can help them with real-time homework. If this is the case, I actually work side by side with my clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been trained in a classroom management program called Love and Logic. I have also completed the Behavior Management Strategies by Ron Leaf that helps education professionals work with students within the Autism spectrum,

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a substitute and fell in love with almost everything about it.
