Chess Tutoring

I am a professional chess player of 13 years and a chess coach. I work with various schools across the US and help students improve their chess skills and board vision. I tailor each lesson to the students' needs. During the lesson we solve chess puzzles as a warmup, then move on to learning a new topic/ game analysis and we finish off playing a chess game. While teaching I am patient, understanding, I always encourage the students to ask questions and engage them with open or close ended questions. And most of all , I like to have fun while learning something we love.

Outside of my chess career I am in college, pursuing a career in medicine as a doctor. I have previously taken college biology and chemistry classes, where I was the top of my class and I'm eager to share my knowledge. My in depth understanding of the subjects and the drive to teach makes me a great fit for tutoring.
