How did you get started teaching?
After 10 years of working in the hair salon setting, I decided to explore a different aspect of Cosmetology. The next step for me was to become a Licensed Instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with various students in my 3 decades of service in this industry. Students from all walks of life, ethnic and economic backgrounds, and different experience levels have inspired me to keep sharing. In addition, I have tutored people who were not in the business,per-say, but wanted to learn how to style hair types that were different from their own.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that I am fond of is when a screaming child was able to be the subject of my lesson for the day! I put a few points of my course in motion and the child received his haircut successfully. Needless to say, Mom was ecstatic!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise a student that is seeking a tutor in Cosmetology/Barber tutoring to message me. You won't regret the inquiry!
