Short Stories
Steady pace of working subjects that are difficult. Showing empathy when things are hard. Take steps to minimize anxiety. Anxiety is the primary reasons not to study. Encourage, motivate, be a leader. Don't force but don't back down from mini frustrations and despair from the student. Ask questions why he/she is feeling this way. Try to breakthrough the barriers.
Flowcharts/infographics help visualization and creativity. Routine structure and time management are essential to feeling more optimistic and on top of things.
Ease the mind and take breaks. Settle in a conversation and add in material questions that somehow lead to an ah-ha moment.
Always respectful. Reinforce the need to study but everyone absorbs information differently. So it takes time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am happy to help in any way I can. Please have work material or project details available for our lesson.
If we are starting from scratch, my lessons start our with a couple writing samples so we can see where skill level you have.
For students dedicated to networking as writer's and get involved in social groups I can connect you with the right people no extra charge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My college education was beneficial for the basics of English and Creative Writing. In the past decade, I honed my skill with practical experience writing for businesses and myself.
I'm esteemed pleasure is helping others achieve their dreams.

How did you get started teaching?
Honestly, my reaction to formal education and the defeat of learning and feeling heard. I was not in the zone in high school yet still past and graduated. It wasn't until College where I felt like I was a part of my education. I got to choose the classes I wanted, choose the teachers, know I don't feel responsible for my future. I took my computer classes an English classes very seriously. And I began tutoring at the college and therefore 4 years after. I find it inspiring to help others. To get away from the mindset of can't and inspire and motivate strategies that come across natural to accept knowledge and information. If I can help you I will be happy.
I worked with learning disabilities, anxiety related to studies students, English as a second language students with subject of computers, students wanting to improve their skill Technical and creative-writing writing.
