Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I first understand the material they need help with and review the material to ensure I'm fresh on the material. Then I assess their capabilities in the specific subject or topic. Finally, I ask if they have any specific examples they are having trouble with or if its the subject being focused on then I help to fill in any gaps in the students learning and reinforce already learned material
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have finished all highschool maths ranging from algebra to calculus and continue my study of math at a university. I have received high scores on Ap exams in mathematics.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Each Lesson can go for as low as 10 dollars per hour lesson up to 20 dollars depending on the frequency of the lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching after peers and teacher recommended I start because of my passion for the subject and all its topics and my meticulous grasp for the material.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all levels of ability. I have worked with individuals who are considered advanced and want to learn more and students who struggle with understanding math in general. I have helped students ranging from calculus to algebra.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The students should think about what specifically they are confused about or what they want help with. However, if they are unsure of how to voice their troubles they should have a problem with which they have to trouble with to start off with because from there it will be easier to help.
