Flexible Spanish Tutoring!
About
I am a CRLA certified Spanish tutor, native to Mexico but starting my master's degree in DC.
I encourage students to carve their own learning path with me helping along the way and I am adaptable to different styles of learning. I also like to incorporate bits of culture and history to get you excited about learning the contexts in which Spanish has been used.
I also support conversations to practice material learned and I like to incorporate different pieces of media to keep sessions interesting. I am very fond of writing and literature and can recommend books and help you with your Spanish writing.
I love problem solving in all of its forms and how no problem is the same. I really enjoy trial and error, but above all I like to find the most efficient solution to a problem.
I also love interacting with students and hearing about their language learning processes and experiences!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I will start with asking what the student's goals are within the session (from completing a hw assignment, learning a new concept, conversation practice, reciting a text, etc) and then try to asses the current level of the student. Then I'll have the student walk me through their concern and their understanding of the material that they want to work on. All of this is to make myself more adaptable to what the student needs/wants.
Depending on the goal of the session there will be sections of the session dedicated to explanation and questions, mini-tasks and practice, until the student is comfortable with the material we are working on.
