About
Nathan Mannes | Carleton Class of 2019 | Computer Science
Hi! My name is Nathan Mannes and I am a recent graduate of Carleton College with a B.A. in Computer Science. I have experience tutoring students for standardized tests and tutoring students in the fields of Math and Computer Science. At Carleton, I worked as a course assistant for a Computer Graphics class and served as a volunteer math tutor at Northfield High School.
I love teaching and sharing my passion for math and computer programming with others. I think programming is a wonderful thing. Building a good website is like building a good house.
There are many moments where as a tutor you know something that the student does not, but you do not want to just tell whatever it is, because they have to figure it out on their own. I get joy out of these moments where I can nudge a student in the right direction and watch in real time as they understand what is going on, and have them be better off for it.
