With a Bachelor’s degree in English Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in English, I am passionate about helping students grow into confident readers and writers. I have experience teaching both 7th and 8th grade students, and I believe that every child has the ability to succeed when they are supported in a way that works best for them.

Reading has always been a huge part of my life, and I love helping students discover who they are as readers while building meaningful connections to literature. Writing is equally important to me because it gives students the opportunity to express themselves, share their stories, and find their own unique voices.

What makes my approach different is that I understand not every student learns the same way. As a student myself, writing did not always come naturally to me, which inspired me to become the kind of teacher who uses students’ strengths and interests—whether that’s drawing, dancing, sports, music, or creativity—to teach the fundamentals of reading and writing in engaging and meaningful ways.

I believe learning should feel personal, supportive, and empowering. Every student learns differently, and I am excited to discover what helps your child become the best learner they can be.
