About
I don't believe that a student is dumb. I don't believe in "stupid" questions either. We all have gaps in our education and it's the teacher's responsibility to help close them.
Helping people achieve their "Ooooh, I get it now!" moment.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first ask what their goals are...then I proceed from there. Everyone is different, so everyone gets individualized instruction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Extensive! Formal and informal! Been tutoring others since the 2nd grade!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is dependent on student's needs.
How did you get started teaching?
In second grade, my first grade teacher asked me to tutor another student. I didn't get paid and sacrificed my recess time to help the other student.
What types of students have you worked with?
Young and old. Foreign exchange students. Math. English. Electrical. Carpentry. Art. Done it all.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I made rice without burning it.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Learning shouldn't be stressful and if you feel anxious about getting tutored, you're probably with the wrong tutor, or you've been brainwashed to believe you're incapable of learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think a lot of tutors are fixated on pricing, which is logical. So really think about what your needs are: do you need someone for the short term or long term? To prep for a test? What do you hope to get out from an hour session (realistically)? Even if you're not paying for tutoring out of your own pocket, ask yourself if you're motivated to learn...and consider that the person or institution that is setting you up with a tutor believes in you and your potential enough to cover these costs.
