I am a graduate of Emerson College in Writing, Literature and Publishing. I have a natural skillset in English language (my primary language), literature and writing for all contexts (professional, academic, creative writing, job hunting materials, etc.) - with sharp grammar and proofreading abilities. I am happy to help someone improve their reading and writing capacity, whether basic/beginner level or more advanced. I have experience tutoring children and adolescents from a variety of backgrounds. I am also a graduate of Northwestern University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters program. Helping others and offering empathy is a passion of mine.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet for an initial consultation on what primary concerns are and mutual goals. I like to develop a relationship that shows support and respect first and foremost. We then work at a client-centered, steady pace - and do a weekly check in at the start of sessions to go over progress, strengths/weaknesses and current/upcoming assignments.
