I am a UCLA graduate, based in LA. I have many years of experience working with students both academically and artistically, and my areas of expertise include math, English and writing, music performance/theory, and theatre. I mostly work through a prestigious tutoring company (called Brownstone Tutors), but I freelance on this website as well! What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by paying close attention to the student's personality and needs, and by the end of the first session I will have a good feel for the best way to teach him or her.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Academics: Bachelor's degree with high GPA from UCLA
Music: 16 years training in piano and music theory
Theatre/Acting: 10 years work as a professional actor, both in LA and NYC
Teaching: Experience as an academic tutor, camp counselor, music teacher, audition coach, etc.
