About
I am a 4th grade teacher of Language Arts and Social Studies. I went to Albright College with a degree in English and a certification in Middle Education (4th through 8th grade) with a concentration in Language Arts. I am dedicated to helping students grow and learn in fun creative ways. I teach 4th grade English and Social Studies for the last year. I have been tutoring English and Math for a 5th grade student for a month now. I also have experience teaching 4th grade Math and English Language Arts, as well as 8th grade Language Arts.
I enjoy seeing students grow and learn. I enjoy finding creative ways for the students to understand their work with a one on one dynamic that can not be achieved in the classroom with 30 individual needs. The time spent tutoring is one on one and individuallized for every student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first session with a new student is about finding out what they are comfortable with and what they struggle with. I start by asking questions about what they are currently learning, that allows me to figure out what they might be missing or not understanding about the subject. I also ask them to go through recent work and see if there is unanswered questions, this also gives me an idea about what areas they need to work on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in English and a certification in Middle Education (4-8th grade) where I can teach all subjects between 4 and 6th grade. I have a concintration in English Language Arts which allows me to teach 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts.

My pricing for an hour session is 20 dollars, and 10 dollars for a half-hour session.
