Science Tutoring With Results
About
I am a science geek who is passionate about teaching and sharing my love of science with others. I have been tutoring for 4 years, informally for 1.5 years and formally for 2.5 years. I have experience tutoring college general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biology classes but I can also teach tutor classes at a high school level. I graduated cum laude from Albright College with a BS in biochemistry, college honors, and departmental distinction in biology in May 2019. I have ample real world experience with science and will use this experience to show why the science your student is learning is important. I completed three summer research internships at the Drexel University College of Medicine, the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, and the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. During these internships I investigated HIV infection, inflammation due to cigarette smoke, and cancer pharmacology. I am currently a lab assistant at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University investigating the effects of HIV and drugs of abuse on blood brain barrier stability.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask new students what their learning style is and then come up with a plan for how our tutoring sessions will go. Next I try to guage how much they understand from the class so far and then I review whatever they don't understand. Next I start going over the class from where they are then and proceed to do that each week.
