Rob D'Aquila Tutoring
About
Hello! My name is Rob D'Aquila, and I am a recent graduate of Wesleyan University, where I studied English with a concentration in creative writing. I'm now a graduate student studying experimental writing at NYU, though my creative work primarily falls into the realist fiction genre. As a tutor, I always strive to help students find their voice in their writing. In the academic context, I understand how students can feel creatively stifled by prompts and guidelines; I aim to show students how their unique qualities as a thinker, reader, and writer might still shine through, in hopes of making their work a rewarding experience. I also strive to adapt to students' individual needs, providing methodical lessons where necessary, while allowing students the freedom to delve into material at their own pace when possible.
