I am experienced online and F2F French & Bulgarian tutor. Knowing presentation, correction and practicing teaching techniques help me build and maintain structured and efficient lessons. I love using authentic visuals and documents, mind maps, videos and go out of the box while helping my students reach their goals. I give conversational/general classes to both adults and kids from beginner to advanced level.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
What is essential to me is to come prepared for each lesson! When I first meet a student I make sure I know/define/test his/her level (a prepare a couple of activities in advance such as questions, written activies, some listening, descibing a visual etc). We then agree on his/her learning goals, I provide feedback and we set expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a Tutor Lead to over 100 other online instructors; I have been teaching and training remotely for more than 7 years; I used to organize language echange meetups in a business environment; I was trained in Paris as well
How did you get started teaching?
My first lesson was when I finished high school. I was looking for a summer job and posted my first language teaching advertisment online. It was a French lesson with a business lady. We met in a hotel loby - it was fun :)
What types of students have you worked with?
Both teens and adults (lots of professionals, students) from IT, Medical, Finance field.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A local event around new writers reading - it was called: Night of Literature
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Dedicating time and self-preparation are essential. The tutor is to guide, correct, partner, inspire and encourage.
