I am a Penn State Undergrad student specializing in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Algebra, and essay writing for middle, high school, and college students.
Having experienced school before, during, and after Covid-19 myself, I understand and relate to the impact it has on the executive functioning of many young students. Paying attention, initiating and completing tasks like homework became more challenging for many students including myself. I am well equipped to guide students who suffer from mood disorders and ADHD by using skills and strategies that I’ve learned in order to cope with my own mood disorders and ADHD.
I’m most effective at helping students grasp topics they have already started learning in class and are struggling with. I like to use students’ assignments as a starting point to my lessons. This method helps my students gradually understand the material while reinforcing a step-by-step process they can use on future exams and assignments. It also allows my students to make visible progress towards completing an assignment which is valuable to students who are stressed by a challenging assignment.
