Stop! Grammar Time!
About
As a service, I offer what any other company would offer. Help for the child in the specific subject. However, I am not a huge entity where I have dozens of other children in front of me at the same time. My focus is with your child during our specific time. Also, as a person I stand out because I am silly, funny, and make learning fun. I provide writing exercises that are not boring, while also helping the children learn about grammar, punctuation, spelling, and the rest of the ELA requirements.
It's all about helping the children. To see how happy they are when they finally understand somethings is priceless.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to sit down and get to know a little about them. Next, I like to find out what it is they're having trouble with and how it maybe affects them in the classroom. Then, I like to give them a few exercises to see how much help they actually need. Lastly, we take it one step at a time to help them understand what it is they are having difficulty with so they become better with the subject, and in turn they'll have more confidence.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I tutor at a small center in Bensalem where I help children in English (and some Math). I have a Master's degree in English, so that's my main focus. I also have a background in Creative Writing and English Lit, and those are some of my favorites to teach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It all depends on the age and how much help they need. I tend to charge more with younger children, only because it is a more time consuming (and let's face it) and frustrating process.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been in childcare more than half of my life. I started out as a nanny and during that time I was like a surrogate mom. Teaching goes hand-in-hand with motherhood. So I figured I should get into tecahing, make an actual career out of it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with many different age groups (from PreK-eighth) and backgrounds (from Russians and Indians).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you get someone who is going to make learning fun. There is nothing worse than a horrible teacher.
