I'm passionate about education, and view students holistically. I believe students learn best when the material is not only helping them achieve standardised goals or academic objectives, but relatable and interesting to them as an individual.
I have been an English teacher for 6 years, in addition to prior professional experience as a healthcare sector management consultant, which has given me broad life experiences. However, my utmost passion is in English literature, world literature, and arts/humanities in general. With these interests, I can think of no greater endeavour than applying the great knowledge, wisdom, and enjoyment in literature towards enriching a person's well-being in life.
I am a Middle States, Google, and ACSI certified teacher with a Master's Degree in Education, specialising in classroom instruction (Summer 2022). I've worked professionally as a dedicated ELA teacher at a reputable international school in Europe, as well as various teaching engagements abroad and in the U.S.
It is hugely satisfying to help a student achieve higher performance in English language arts, as well as build an enthusiasm and appreciation for literature and writing.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would have initial conversations with the student to best understand their objective and subjective (personal) needs in regards to tutoring, and what results they are hoping to achieve, and in what time frame.
Then, we will construct an initial plan to determine how to best achieve those needs; adjusting as necessary.
