About
Helping students excel and achieve their full potential in the classroom is my ultimate passion. I tutor students in grades K-9. I am skilled in English Literature, having completed English I, II, and III Honors with a 4.5 GPA. I have attended numerous writing workshops from colleges such as Johns Hopkins University, Stanford University, and Columbia University. I am dedicated and extremely invested in my students and have been tutoring for 4 years. I have extensive leadership and collaborative skills. I hope to encourage all my students to learn to enjoy English Literature for its beauty and learn to express themselves; to gain knowledge about both themselves as a person and the world around them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start out by getting to know them and their academic goals. Then, I set a comprehensive plan and curriculum uniquely suited for each individual student. Depending on their school system and grade level, I make sure that their course standards are addressed through one-on-one tutoring, collaborative activities, as well as individual assignments. I always make sure that the workload is not overwhelming yet challenging. From there we work on enriching skills such as analyzing texts, formulating ideas, and learning how to express those ideas on paper. Social skills and self-advocacy are also skills I work on developing with my students, to prepare them for future English courses and exams.
For skill development the student and I work together through a personalized comprehensive learning plan and curriculum.
For test prep we address course standards and work through materials and practice problems and excerpts.
For homework help/assistance we work through their assignments along with enrichment materials if requested.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring English since 2016. I am highly qualified and trained in English literature. I have attended numerous literature and writing workshops from some of the nation's most prestigious schools. I have been working with elementary, middle, and high school students and understand how to approach students of different backgrounds, skill levels, and ages.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is open to negotiation depending on the client's financial situation. I believe it is extremely important to take into account the client's budget considering the pandemic. I believe that every student, no matter their circumstances or accessibility to technology, is deserving of education and the assistance needed to help them reach their full potential.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and economic classes. Every student is deserving of education and the assistance necessary to allow them to excel.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about their goals, objectives, and any upcoming events they may be preparing for. They should try to identify and areas they struggle with and the areas they excel in. This way, I can create a more effective, and personalized curriculum suited to each student's individual needs.
