What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to speak to the student or parent in order to get an idea of where the student is struggling. Additionally, I administer a reading and writing diagnostic to aid me in selecting the proper materials needed to begin working with the student. I rely heavily on the curriculum the student is exposed to during the school year, which drives my instruction.
