Hello! My name is Chelsea, and I'm really excited to be your tutor! My day job is working at a major financial information services firm doing research in Chinese and Japanese, and I moonlight as a musician and videogame scholar!
With a bachelor of arts degree in Chinese from Bates College (and a minor in Japanese), I am very aware and sympathetic to the experience of second language learners in America! I have gone through what you've gone through with learning both Chinese and Japanese! As a result, I am a very passionate and patient teacher. In my lesson plans, I like to include innovative, real life examples of language being used in practice, to encourage you on your language learning journey.
I'd love to spend my free time teaching you the basics of Chinese or Japanese! Learning from me is sure to be a fun experience. I will take time to get to know you and your interests and tailor your learning experience to your professional and personal goals.
