Hello, my name is Malik Javaid, and I am a current senior at Columbia University studying computer science. I have been tutoring students of various ages in math and physics for over 8 years now, so I feel like I am more than qualified to lead you to success. My mom is a math teacher as well, so education has been a big passion of mine for my entire life. I love to teach students material on a deeper level, not just "teach them to the test". I want my students to feel excited about learning and confident about their abilities.

I was nervous about getting a tutor at first. I was already doing poorly in Algebra (I had a C) and didnt think that I could bring up my grade. Im busy with sports, but Malik worked with my schedule and helped me before every test and tried different teaching methods until he found one that helped me understand what I was learning. He would meet with me in person and online depending on what was easiest for me. My grade is now an B+, which is an improvement I was not expecting.

Hes literally the best teacher you could ever ask for. I needed help with physics one day, and I didnt know a single concept of the problem. He sat me down and explained it step-by-step, and I ended up acing my exam because of him! He really cares about who he tutors and does a lot to make sure you understand the material thoroughly. Highly recommend !
