Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new tutoring student, I will generally follow these steps:
1. Get acquainted and discuss areas of concern.
2. Review course syllabus, objectives, grading/evaluation.
3. Establish expectations for how often the student wishes to be tutored, schedule sessions around class/assignment dates.
4. Get started on the current lesson/assignment and challenge student to master unit objectives or comprehension.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education includes a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The College of New Jersey where I represented the school at regional and national sales/negotiation competitions. I placed as a national finalist on 3 separate occasions, helping the school have a record 4th place finish at the International Collegiate Sales Competition held annually in Orlando, Florida.
As a professional, I have spent 5 years as a financial advisor working with businesses, their executives, and professionals across industries to manage their business and personal finances.
Working as an alumni advisor, I have helped TCNJ students build their sales and negotiations skills leading to success at competitions. The students I have coached have gone on to be employed by some of the most respected firms in the country including Facebook, UPS, AT&T, IBM, BlackRock Investments, and many more.
