I provide 1-on-1 tutoring in all subjects, and I am an expert standardized test prep tutor. I tutor both individually and in small groups. I have a 5-star Google rating with numerous reviews to support that rating. I have a passion for education, and there is no better feeling than learning from one of my students that he or she succeeded on a project, assignment, or test.
Helping students reach their educational goals and making learning enjoyable is the most rewarding part of tutoring and teaching for me.
When students make real connections with concepts they may have been struggling to understand, it brings a new level of meaning to being an educator.
My favorite moments are the texts, phone calls, or emails I receive from parents whose son or daughter was accepted to the school of his or her choice, and they can't thank me enough. I know I'm making a real difference when that happens.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I initially like to discuss the needs and goals of the student with parents and then create a plan based on that discussion.
Once I understand the needs of the student, I like to meet with the student and gauge his or her level of understanding in a certain subject area, so I can determine the best path to growth and success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master of Arts in Education from Monmouth University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature from Saint Joseph’s University. I possess 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience, and I have worked with well over a 1,000 students 1-on-1 and in small groups and classroom settings.

How did you get started teaching?
I taught Middle School and High School English, but I am now a full time tutor with my own business located in Red Bank, NJ.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a full spectrum of students and have been able to identify ways to increase their learning and knowledge in many areas.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my students came to me with a huge issue. To be accepted to a particular university and play on that school’s Division I soccer program, she needed to jump 4 points on the ACT.
We only had 5 weeks to get her ready, and after working with over that time, she ended up receiving the exact score she needed!
She is now heading to the school of her dreams on a full scholarship. It is by far one of the most rewarding moments for me as a tutor.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that teacher is well versed in whatever area you are looking for improvement. Otherwise, your experience will not be as fruitful and beneficial as you would have hoped.
