Future Teacher (Spanish/English) Tutoring
About
I take pride in knowing that I am helping a student strive in whatever subject it might be. I also am aware that every student learns differently and that it is my job to guide them on the path that is most comfortable for them.
I am in my last year of college and will finish next year with my master's. My field is Spanish and Education. I am in college learning how to teach students to be the best they can be and be ready for the future. I am hoping with this job I can aid the student in gaining knowledge to help them succeed in whatever the subject might be.
I have worked with 5-year-olds all the way up to 15 years old. I enjoy making a difference. I love making an impact and helping students be the best that they can. As a future teacher, I appreciate the next generation and want nothing but the best for any and every student.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I review and assess what they need help in in order to see if I can give them assistance. If I am able to help, I will review different teaching methods to help them study and see what is best for them. Overall, I would take it step by step and see what will happen.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Spanish Major with a Teaching Certificate in K-12th and a Certificate in Spanish Healthcare along with a Masters in Special Education. At the moment I am also studying abroad in Spain (Fall 2021).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I range from $20 hr - $30 hr. depends on if I need to create lessons, homework, etc. for the student.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been babysitting since I was 13 and I have been teaching since I was 15. I will be completely be certified to teach by the end of this school year.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a range of students from neuro-typical students, students with ADHD and asperger. Every situation will depend on how comfortable the student and myself feel.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I tutored a 6 year old girl last year. It was AMAZING to see the progress she made from learning how to pronounce the word "can't" to learning words like "because" and "partnership". The moment was priceless and I was so fortunate to be there through all of it.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who WANTS to be there with you, not for someone who is looking for the money. You will get the most value from a teacher that cares more about the student rather than what your grade is at the end of the day. It might sound a bit unorthodox, but the reality is what did you learn at the end of the day. Did you ACTUALLY understand or did you memorize?
Look for a teacher that is willing to go above and beyond because they want to see progress.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think of the following...
1) How much time am I going to spend being tutored?
2) What am I willing to do to enhance my knowledge?
3) Does my teacher have a life outside of this? (The answer 99.99% of the time is yes!)
4) What do I want to learn and get out of this experience?
