CDCA Tutoring
About
I've been tutoring elementary aged, middle school, and high school students since 2015. I've learned how to personalize sessions according to the needs and skills of the students as well as how to successfully provide a mix of instruction, encouragement, and assistance during my sessions. I've taken university courses on education, US history, college writing, and literature which have allowed me to bring a solid understanding of various topics to my clients. Additionally, as a former AP student, I am equipped to prepare AP students and honors students with the challenges that come with a heavier workload.
I enjoy my work because it allows me to incorporate teaching and helping. As a student working towards a degree in education, I have acquired various skills to enhance my ability in assisting students. Active listening, patience, and an awareness of the presence of unique human differences in learning are just a few things I bring to the table. Because I enjoy learning about topics in psychology and education, I also have a deep understanding of the multiple intelligences theory, various teaching methods, and cognitive functioning at various stages of development. My work is important to me because it allows me to seek to understand others, provide help, and continue building on my skills as an educator.

My history, education, and psychology classes provide me with a solid foundation on working with students in need of assistance with American Government and History classes.
