Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first contact my student and create a tutoring plan. I then test my student's level of understanding during the first session. I provide customized homework after every session, and prepare every session by looking through my student's class notes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I taught a college-accredited course at Rutgers University called Exploring Health and Medicine to pre-medical freshmen. I was an Organic Chemistry TA for two years at Rutgers as well. I additionally tutor at elementary and middle schools for a few hours every week.
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring in high school, teaching how to read and write in Punjabi in Sunday school to young children. I then expanded by skills in college to various ages.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types of students, whether their goal is to pass the class or achieve the highest grade in the class. I tailor my teaching to the students' goals.
