What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what aspects they need to strengthen with the challenges being presented. Once a strong foundation is set the material becomes easier.
How did you get started teaching?
A friend needed assistance filling gaps in understanding. Her school teacher went over the subject too fast. Usually it's what you didn't comprehend in previous lessons that prevents the student from advancing.

See if the teachers can explain complicated math ideas simply. Everything can be broken down into understandable pieces.
