About
Hello there! I am a business PhD student in NYC, studying inventory modeling and overall supply chain applications. I am currently a TA for a Predictive Analytics course and will be teaching it in the fall. Before my graduate studies, I tutored at a college level for 2.5 years (mainly in biology, chemistry, mathematics, accounting (basic), and economics) through college. In high school, I spend some volunteer time working with 3-6th graders in reading and math. I have experience for most ages, so no matter your need, I probably can help you.
I always personalize our meetings to reach established goals. I also keep records of your accomplishments throughout the sessions, so that you can see real progress as we work together.
I love to use practical or tangible analogies and fun facts to help answer not only how to do something, but why we do it, and maybe the history behind it. The purpose for this approach is to keep you engaged and provide context that might provide insight to some new ideas.
Here is some encouragement: It usually takes anywhere from 5-9 exposures to a new idea before it sinks in, so being overwhelmed or frustrated at something that doesn't initially make sense can be common, but overcoming that with a bit of practice can make it worth the effort.
