Calculus/Economics Tutor

My name is Helene Purcell and I am a PhD in Economics. I've been tutoring and teaching since my undergraduate years where I was a calculus and business tutor for the multicultural office and learning services office. I have taught college-level Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at Fordham University.

My favorite part of teaching is being able to explain a new concept to students and spark an interest or expand knowledge of the topic. There is no better feeling than when a student is struggling to understand something and I am able to see a light go on after sitting with them and explaining it in a way that is approachable and clear.
