High School Biology Tutor

I have been teaching Biology and Honors Biology at the high school for the past 2 years and teaching as a lab professor at the college level for the past 4 years. Prior to teaching I worked in scientific research but soon reaized that my true passion was for teaching science. I try to bring in my life experiences to help students see the real life applications of science. I customize my tutoring sessions to each student since I know each student learns differently. I always try to get to know my students and learn about their other interests to tie that into my teaching if possible.

I love the moment when a student finally gets a concept that they had been struggling with, watching that “aha!” moment is the best. I also love passing on my passion for science to students and showing them that even though science is hard, anyone can learn it.
