Perfect Score SAT Tutoring
About
I am a PhD student in Operations Research at Columbia University. In high school, I purely self-studied for all my exams and achieved a perfect 2400 on the SAT, as well as 800s on the Math Level 2 and Physics subject tests. I also took 16 AP tests in my junior year, most self-taught, and received 13 5s and 3 4s. Most recently I attained a perfect 340 on the GRE before applying to graduate school.
I have taught multiple courses as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, including Linear Algebra, Complex Analysis, and Simulation. As a PhD student, I have served as the TA for both undergraduate and master's level courses in Probability, Optimization, and Statistics.
On a personal level, I am very agreeable and empathetic. I am keen on helping students improve and find confidence in their own abilities. Often one only needs a bit of sustained encouragement.

There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a student grow and gain confidence in their abilities. The most satisfying feedback I've ever received has come not from my mentors or bosses, but from the students I've taught who tell me that I inspired them, motivated them to work a little harder, or even just improved their day. In my mind, that is what life is really all about.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Throughout my introductory process, my aim is to develop a good rapport with the student so they feel at ease and are motivated to work hard. I will ascertain their strengths and weakenesses through test exams, and I will develop a pedagogical plan which will help them improve as much as possible in a given time frame.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have recieved pedagogical training at UC Berkeley. I taught at a Mathnasium in high school, which involves students from pre-school to seniors in high school, so I understand how to teach across various age groups.
