About

I've always enjoyed teaching, but sometimes conveying ideas in a comprehensive way to students is a challenge.

After watching Like Stars on Earth(with the protagonist having dyslexia), I was convinced that there could be a method to simplify complex concepts in the various sections of the SAT test by relating them to practical scenarios to aid students in better understanding them.

I just want to help students find their spark for the test.

    Frequently asked questions

I give the student three different diagnostic test with different difficulty levels on each of the three sections of the test and then identify the strengths and weaknesses of student.

The tuition would therefore be oriented in a way to help the student be consistent in the strengths and improve upon the weaknesses.

I would be enrolling in college next year as a Statistics and Computer Science major.

I have various honors in Mathematics from high school and I have gained tutoring experience from renowned test preps in my country.

I really don't have a specific pricing system. I am more interested in helping students get high scores on the test.

But I think $50 per hour would do😂

    The price is still negotiable

I was the President and Co-tutor of the SAT Club in my high school. The Club met twice a week to help prepare students who would take the test after high school.

I'm currently an SAT tutor at Young Achievers Foundation.

High school students, high school graduates, and even college students.

For December 3, 2022, SAT, we had over 120 students in our SAT tuition program. All the students had their individual strengths and weaknesses on the various sections, but Rose's journey was the most interesting. Rose was struggling with the math section of the SAT and needed help improving her previous math score of 640. During our first session, I assessed Rose's current level of math proficiency and identified her strengths and weaknesses. I then developed a customized study plan that focused on improving her weaker areas, such as algebra and geometry, while also reviewing key concepts and formulas that she needed to know for the test. I used a variety of teaching strategies, including interactive activities, real-world examples, and practice problems, to help Sarah fully grasp the concepts and feel confident in her ability to solve math problems on the SAT. I also provided her with test-taking strategies, such as time management techniques and approaches to tackling difficult questions, to help her feel prepared and focused on test day. For several weeks, I worked closely with her, and she practiced extensively on her own using the materials and resources provided. She felt supported and motivated throughout the process, and as a result of her hard work and my guidance, she was able to improve her math score on the SAT by 150 points. She felt confident and proud of her achievement and knew that the skills and strategies she had learned would serve her well in future academic endeavors. Rose had a 1560 on the test with a 790 on the math section. She recently got into Colby College with a full-ride scholarship. I'm glad I could be a part of her story and I look forward to playing similar roles in the stories of others.

What are my overall goals for taking the SAT? Do I want to improve my score from a previous test, or am I taking the test for the first time? What are my strengths and weaknesses in each section of the SAT? Am I struggling with a particular type of question, or do I need help with time management or test-taking strategies? How much time do I have to prepare for the test? When is my test date, and how much time can I commit to studying each week? Have I taken any practice tests or used any study materials? If so, what were my results and what did I learn from the experience? Do I have any specific learning needs or preferences? For example, do I learn better through visual aids, interactive activities, or repetition? What is my budget for SAT tutoring or test prep materials? How much am I willing to invest in my SAT preparation?
