Hi there! I’m new to Tutor.com, but I’m not new to tutoring! I have 2.5 years experience working exclusively as an English tutor at Fresno City College, guiding college students of varying levels to improve their skills in essay crafting, reading comprehension, and creative writing. I am comfortable working with all ages. I hold a BFA from Utah State University, where I graduated Magna cum Laude. I also have years of experience in child care and teaching performing arts.

I am passionate about English grammar and find it fun to make essays pop off the page with crisp and professional language—however, I believe the most important skill is to be able to identify your thesis and communicate your ideas. Then we can get into the nit-picky grammar rules!

My training at FCC has informed my approach to tutoring. I cannot guarantee you will get an A (but I can help)! I CAN guarantee that your writing & reading skills will improve—especially if you come in with a goal.
