About

I see my role as a tutor as the pillar to ensuring students succeed and the stepping stone to assisting them to become the people they want to become. I am here to make their dreams a reality and that outlook separates me.

I enjoy breaking down complex concepts for students into manageable and easily understandable components. A student's confidence in his/herself is paramount to my success and seeing them understand a previously difficult concept is what makes my work the most fulfilling.

Renee was my tutor for my Integrated Marketing Communications graduate degree. Prior to starting my Master’s Degree at program online from Georgetown, I had never taken any courses online, not even during my undergraduate years. I was somewhat skeptic if I could actually pursue both my graduate degree as well as work full-time simultaneously. I have to say there were not a whole lot of
tutors that I searched for that would be willing to work with me since this involved more advance level course work. When I first met Renee, from day one, I knew I was in good hands. The reason I would
recommend this to someone is because not only do we learn differently but we use different parts of our brains more than others. That said, having Renee has my tutor for the majority of my graduate school
experience helped me to understand what is working and what needs to be fixed. I really liked how Renee was able to breakdown assignment questions and word it differently to help me
comprehend it better. Also, Renee showed me different ways at solving math-related marketing questions and also letting me know it was okay at other times that emailing the professor with any questions was the best way to ensure clarity of the assignments given.

As an adult graduate student with a non-mathematical background, the prospect of taking master’s level business classes was daunting and intimidating. While I received a strong high school and undergraduate education, many of the required math skills needed for grad school were not part of my early curriculum. Thanks to Renee’s patience, task-oriented approach and knowledge, not only was I able to learn these skills and mathematical practices, I thrived academically and gained a tremendous amount of newfound self-confidence as Renee provided reassurance with the most complicated of assignments. She creates a business like, yet non-intimidating and
judgement free environment, allowing me to ask questions, even on matters/concepts that seemed so silly and basic. My tutoring sessions with Renee have further enhanced my ability to look at a problem and
devise specific tactics to solve it. I am now able to comfortably utilize a newly acquired toolbox of skills, developed through my sessions with Renee.
