What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The basis of every relationship starts with the rapport. Being able to get to know each other as teacher and student we can discover best learning practices, preferred methods of feedback and even culturally responsive curriculum. None of this work would be possible without a process centered on positive learning environment. Find out who they are and what they want of this work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am master teacher for the last 8 years and I have coached multiple teachers in the classroom.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find out if they use prior data to drive instruction. Most tutors do but everyone should base their lessons on what the specific indivudal student needs are.
