Simply I like teaching and the lighting in the eyes of students when they understand a challenging topic and because of this I took educational science courses in my bachelor study like teaching methods, educational psychology, curriculum development, methods of science teaching, etc. These courses help me lot about how to teach besides what to teach.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The most important things that I need to know before I start tutoring are the background of the student, his/her motivation, and learning rate. Then accordingly I can modify my tutoring strategy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 22 years of teaching experice. I also prepared students to Math Olympiads and SAT.
How did you get started teaching?
I have bachelor degree in Math and right after it I started to work as a math teacher since 1997.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked with middle and high schools and university students. I have worked with all level of students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If possible ask the tutor to make a free introduction session in which they make a demo teaching.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should try to summarize their background in the subject, their motivation for the tutoring, and their effective way of learning sytle.
