K-6 Tutor: Math, Reading, Writing, ESL

I am a NJ certified teacher with certifications in Elementary Education, Middle School Language Arts, and ESL. I have had a variety of classroom experiences (from 3rd grade to 8th grade writing), and spent the last four years teaching academic English to English Language Learners (ESL Teacher). I have experience tutoring in Moorestown, NJ in elementary math and middle school writing.

Starting in October, I'll be taking a break from the classroom to spend time at home with my daughter. I'd love to have the chance to put my passion for education towards your son or daughters needs.

I have always loved working with young children and helping them learn. As a student myself, reading and writing were always my strong subjects. I am passionate about meeting children at their level and helping them become confident in their literacy skills. Math was something that did not always come easily to me in school. I often had to find creative ways of solving problems or going the extra mile to check my work. I find that this also helps me work with students who struggle to "get" elementary math- because I have been there myself. We work on breaking problems down to truly understand the solving process and find practical ways to check our work and catch mistakes.
