About
I am a Reading Specialist who has taught and tutored students from Kindergarten through College. As a Reading Specialist, I am able to assess student difficulties and provide remediation for those areas needing improvement. I provide photocopied stories for practice and review. The first lesson is an assessment and a brief report of findings will be provided along with a plan moving forward. Feel free to ask any questions. I have a full schedule but hope to find a tutoring time that will work for everyone. I tutor at the Willingboro Library.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first goal is to assess student's knowledge and ability, depending on the subject. I also try to find out about each student, their likes and dislikes, and determine how I can best use that information to enhance his or her learning process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my experience has been with below level to grade level students. With my background as a Reading Specialist, I can pointpoint areas that need strengthening to aid of the reading/comprehension process. For reading and math students, I have taught basic skills classes from K- 8 and have experience in providing basic math understanding and the skills needed to advance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing for elementary and high school is $45./hr - unfortunately, I do not travel to Pennsylvania at this time. Arrangements can be made for tutoring at the Cinnaminson Library which is close to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge. New Jersey locations could be in home tutoring, although a nearby library is preferred. Hourly rate could be adjusted depending on the circumstances. College tutoring is understandably at a higher rate.
