My teaching style is student-centered, which means that all instruction is tailored to your learning style. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I will work with you to find the approach that works best for you.
As a TESOL-certified teacher with a BA in History and Early Childhood Education (pre-K through 8th grade), I have helped hundreds of students from all over the world, ages 5 through adult, improve their English speaking and writing skills. All instruction is tailored to the individual learner, their current level, and learning style. Short-term and long-term tutoring plans are available.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First step: Meet and Greet
In our first meeting, I learn all about my new student's English skills and where they would like/need to grow. After our first meeting, I come to you with our plan to get you or your student there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified K-8 in Early Education, BA History, AA English, ESL Certified, NJ State teaching liscense, DTM Toastmasters

How did you get started teaching?
I babysat as a young kid,worked in a preschool, aupaired in the Netherlands, and fell in love with teaching. I became a certified teacher and later on, an author.
Now I share my love with anyone who wants to learn.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from America, China, Germany, England, India, Dominican, and many more countries. These students range from three year olds learning sounds and pronunciation to grown adults wanting to learn how to write a book.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My young student, A, was asked to write ten things she loves. She did this willingly.
After she wrote it, she read it to me.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they connect with your kid. Like- REALLY connect! They need to have a mutual friendship. Trust me!
