Julie Reeves

I graduated college with a degree in English Education, where I also worked as a tutor in the Writing Center, helping college students plan, edit, revise, and finalize essays, portfolios, speeches, resumes, etc. Additionally, I worked as 9th grade English teacher in the Philadelphia School District for two years, where I helped students master reading comprehension, writing techniques, and grammar, while also preparing students for standardized and state testing. Furthermore, I have experience tutoring elementary and middle school level math, science, and social studies. I have 8 years of tutoring experience, working with a variety of ages, from elementary school to college, and I intentionally get to know each student individually so that we can personalize their goals and plan for their success. I am encouraging and enthusiastic with all of my students, and my goal in tutoring is not only for parents and students to see tangible results, but also for students to feel confident and excited about their learning!
