I am a passionate and energetic elementary teacher. I worked in public schools for 7 years and have been doing in-home instruction for the past two years.
Teaching children how to read and write is the greatest love of my life! I use programs such as Brainspring (Phonics First) and the Superkids Reading Program. I enhance reading skills through individualized guided reading lessons.
I have a Teaching Certfiicate with advanced standing. (K-8).
The greatest joy of my career is watching my students grow. I have been honored to witness and take part in teaching students how to read and write.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know my students through playing games and engaging in dialogue. Upon meeting a new student, I give the Fountas and Pinnell guided reading benchmark assessment to direct me to their reading level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to Georgian Court University where I attained my BA in Elementary Education (K-8).
