About
I am a MD/PhD student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and have enjoyed tutoring students for over 10 years in the sciences, math, and writing/literature. I love exploring the critical thinking behind math questions and am happy to go over the same topic multiple times in detail, until the student can explain it back to me or someone else. Three of my previous students received perfect SAT Math scores.
I received a perfect score on my ACT and SAT, graduated from Duke University with a degree in biomedical engineering, and am currently in a neuroscience lab for my PhD training. Please reach out if you're interested. Thanks!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will establish specific goals, a timeline to meet those goals, and discuss your preferred learning style. Then I ask the student to complete a few practice questions to identify weaknesses in the subject area that we can focus on. Each lesson will consist of going through problems together, a few new concepts, and assigned homework.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Duke University with a degree in biomedical engineering and a minor in chemistry. I worked as a research assistant for two years in NYC, before joining the MD/PhD program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Since 2010, I have been tutoring students in various subjects, including linear algebra, biochemistry, creative writing, and test prep for the SAT, ACT, and MCAT.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $30 for 30 minutes, and $50 for an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring in 2010 at school when my friends needed help with classes, and really enjoyed teaching! I began teaching at SAT/ACT seminars after taking the exams in 2011, and continued teaching various subjects throughout college and afterward. I enjoy teaching and one of my goals is to be a future neuroscience professor!
What types of students have you worked with?
All types! I am happy to work with students at all different stages of education and training.
