Reading Tutor
About
Hi
I want you to know that teaching reading is my speciality. We are going to work together and you are going to be so proud of the progress you will have made. I am excited about the journey We are about to take together.
I love the pride that my students feel when they realize what they can do. I know learning can be a struggle at times but when we meet our goal that feeling makes it all worth it. The best part of my job is to be there to witness that feeling.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I feel it is important to get to know my student, their concerns, their goals, and to find out the way they learn so I can teach in a style that fits for them. We are not all cookie cutter learners and therefore I don't teach the same way for everyone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a classroom teacher, I also have been a tutor for a while.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge 35.00 an hour but I am also willing to work with each client. I always put learning first over money.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a para before I went into teaching. I have always loved working with kids in an educational setting.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students and different age groups.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say look for a teacher that is willing to work with you. Remember a teacher needs to fit your style of learning, you don't need to fit their style of teaching.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would say state your goal first, what do you want to accomplish, example: you might want to gain a reading level and then start asking the questions of how this teacher can support you with that goal.
