High School Basic Tutoring
About
I have been aspiring to help educate young minds for most of my life. It is one of the most rewarding moments to see that “light bulb” go off in a student’s mind. I strive to work with many different kinds of minds to be able to be successful amongst all; as long as we are both willing to work towards the goal, I know we can achieve it. I have not professionally been working as a tutor for long, but within my high school I tutored students after school, and during college I became a tutor as well. I am a recent high school graduate so the material is still fresh in my mind, and I attended the many tutoring course as well during high school: John Baylor, private tutors, etc. I was the valedictorian of my class in 2018, and received an overall ACT score of 34, with 36’s in both English and Math.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to get to know them a little bit so I can figure out their learning style and what will benefit them most. Then, of course, we figure out what subjects they need help the most with and which parts specifically they’re struggling with. Lastly, I go home and devise a personalized plan on how we are going to attack our approach.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken and excelled in the courses that I provide assistance with, though I do not have any formal training per say. My teachers always allowed me to help other students whilst they were busy as I was a quick learner, however.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally $25 an hour
How did you get started teaching?
I am currently expecting and in need of a temporary position that gets me off my feet for the next few months. I want to eventually teach college level English as it has been my passion for the longest time, so I figured it would be best to get my foot in the door ahead of time as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have mostly worked with my peers, though in high school I did help with younger classmates and special needs and in college I worked strictly with classes below my current level.
