Greetings, I am a professional writer (journalism, Creighton University grant writing, nonprofit marketing, however most fun and fulfilling has been my current position as a paraprofessional for second grade at Fontenelle Elementary. I so enjoy working with kids and youth in literacy skills. My daughter had mild dyslexia and we worked hard together. She's now graduating from Grinnell college with a degree in biochemistry. Each child learns differently and at their own pace. Most importantly, all children have a capacity for learning, growth, curiosity and creativity. It's our job to tap into it.
