About

Hello! My name is Amanda Skalka. I have a bachelor's in biology and a minor in chinese language. Graduated magna cumme laude. May be able to provide special assistance to students struggling with ADHD/ADD and anxiety due to personal experience with the disorder. I have an emotional support animal I can offer during sessions at my home(note: NOT a service animal, just a well trained pet), a leopard gecko named Freya. Can work in person or through apps such as zoom or discord. Willing to negotiate prices for low income families.

I enjoy helping others gain an appreciation for the natural sciences and making studying fun and easier for kids!

She didnt leave untill we made sure I understood the material. She was patient in her explanations and answered many of the questions I had.

    Frequently asked questions

The first session I'd spend getting to know the student and their issues and help them with whatever homework they brought with them.

Over time I hope to set up a proper study regiem to help the kid be able to learn on their own as well as with me.

I have a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in chinese.

20 per hour in person session and compensation for gas.

15 for online, with the first session being free.

Willing to negotiate lower prices for low income families.

Just started by helping my friends in college. Wanted to continue on as I felt I had a knack for it.

Mostly students my own age, but I can help highschool and middle school students too.

What are you not understanding/having difficulty with? Do you need a refresher on a concept/are having trouble remembering something you know you understood and need a reminder of it? Or could you not understand the way the teacher explained it? How far do you get into a concept before you get confused/stop remembering?
