What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students will complete basic benchmark assessment. We will work to fill in gaps then to challenge the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am completing my final year before being a lisenced educaator. I am currently student teaching in 4th grade. I am going to be certified in K-12 special education as well. This experience gives me a fresh view point when it comes to teaching content in new ways.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard rate is $25 an hour or $20 an hour if working together 3+ hours weekly.
How did you get started teaching?
I am passionate about education and all students having equal access to education.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from first grade to 8th grade. Some in the classroom setting and others in a tutoring setting.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a tutor that works for you. If you find the match to be incompatible, let your tutor know and ask if they could help you find someone new.
