I have an incredible love for reading and all the places it can take you and I want to instill that love into the children I tutor. I am their biggest fan and support and will cheer ALL their successes. I encourage them to take risks in a safe supportive setting so they can achieve their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I conduct an online reading assessment with the student to assess reading level and any gap areas. I share this verbally and in written form with the parents.
Next I find out what the parents dreams are for their child, and what they expect from me as a tutor.
After this I develop an individual reading program that targets just the gap areas and work with the child until they have mastered othe material. this helps children catch up with their peers more quickly.
Once hired, I schedule a call via ZOOM.com. I explain to the parent and child how this platform works and we set up a time to begin tutoring.
I will provide weekly and monthly progress reports and will complete another assessment after 3 months (12 hours) of tutoring to measure success and progress.
Tutoring is usually held once per week (or more if needed) for 30 minutes with childres in grades 1 and 2, and 45-60 minutes with children in grades 3-8.
